AFRA – Australian Furniture Removers Association.

AFRA is an official body of removals experts that helps regulate the removals industry. Government departments often consult AFRA before they make decisions about the industry.

AFRA accreditation ensures peace of mind for the consumer. AFRA accredits only those removalists that have the necessary equipment, vehicles, premises and staff training needed to complete a professional move.

All AFRA members carry Public Liability Insurance and are authorised to provide Transit Insurance for all goods and effects being moved.

AIMA - The Australian International Movers Association

AIMA was established in 1975, the same year John Ryan Removals commenced operating. It evolved as a professional forum for the international removal industry. AIMA existence allows the international removal industry in Australia to govern itself, improve services, and deal as one in its relations with Government Departments such as Customs and Quarantine, to provide an independent disputes tribunal and to protect the interests of the public. AIMA is recognised as the FIDI Association in Australia

FIDI - Federation Internationale Des Demenageurs Internationaux.

FIDI is the largest global alliance of independent quality international removal companies.

In 1950, FIDI was founded to represent the interests of companies specialising in international removals. Since its creation, FIDI has evolved from a European based association to a leading worldwide federation.

FIDI's mission is to develop and promote best practice for FIDI companies.

FIDI's vision is to position FIDI affiliates as the "mover of choice" for international relocations.

FAIM (FIDI Accredited International Mover) was developed by FIDI and is the only quality system developed for international moving companies. All of its affiliates are FAIM accredited.

IAM – International Association of Movers

IAM is a global association of movers and forwarders committed to providing customers with the highest level of service available. Based in the United States of America, IAM has a worldwide membership of over 2,000 companies from more than 165 countries and territories available to move you wherever life may take you.

IAM is an integral part of the communications process between the industry and the US Military, who is one of the largest movers of personnel in the world.
